AUSTAFE is a duly constituted national association of TAFE managers whose executive is made up of representatives from each of the State or Territory Chapters. Each of the Chapters has its own executive and undertakes activities autonomously. It is a professional association which has a commitment to promoting excellence in vocational education and training. It offers professional support, but not industrial advocacy, for its members.
The broad aim of AAIR is to benefit, assist and advance research which leads to the improved understanding, planning and operation of tertiary education institutions within Australasia.
Independent association for research in vocational education and training, brings together research stakeholders and researchers from the TAFE, university, industry and government sectors
The Institute of Public Administration Australia (IPAA) is the professional association for people interested in government reform, policy issues, trends, best practice and innovation in public sector management. IPAA NSW aims to enhance the relevance, integrity, reputation and intellectual base of the public sector.
TAFE Directors Australia (TDA) is the national association of Institutes of Technical and Further Education and the TAFE divisions of multi-sector universities in Australia. TDA provides national leadership in promoting the role and contribution of public vocational education and training to Australian social, cultural and economic development.
The International Vocational Education and Training Association (IVETA) is an organization and network of vocational educators, vocational skills training organizations, business and industrial firms, and other individuals and groups interested or involved in vocational education and training worldwide. IVETA is dedicated to the advancement and improvement of high-quality vocational education and training wherever it exists and wherever it is needed.

Education

The NSW Department of Education and Training delivers high quality education and training services from early childhood education through to post-compulsory education and training. The public education and training system in New South Wales provides pre-school education, the compulsory years of schooling, and senior secondary education. It also provides TAFE NSW courses, adult and community education courses, migrant English programs, post-secondary art courses and advice to the government on high education.
TAFE New South Wales is Australia's largest educational institution (and among the largest in the world). TAFE NSW delivers flexible study programs and services to meet the needs of students, industry and the community.
